Baited Remote Underwater Video Stations (BRUVS) are rapidly becoming part of the marine science toolbox when assessing fish populations because they confer several advantages over traditional sampling and underwater visual census methodologies for surveying fish community composition and relative abundance (more details).  Todays video shows a little glimpse into the world of science using BRUVS, whereby AIMS scientists got a rather unexpected visitor.
